Pool & Spa Test Kit - Comprehensive 7-in-1 Analysis - For Balanced and Crystal Clear Water
Keep an eye on the water chemistry of your pool to keep it in immaculate condition
Swimmer perspiration, rain, algae, and other plant matter can all build-up to create a contaminated pool or spa. Without the correct chemical balance, this can quickly lead to health risks, damaged equipment, and murky-looking water.
However, many of these problems can be avoided by simply maintaining proper pool water chemistry. That means testing on a regular basis and adjusting the water chemistry as needed.
Using this test kit, you can check the levels of all 7 crucial parameters of your pool or spa within seconds. With the help of the included resources, you can then maintain a balanced crystal-clear pool or spa that you can’t wait to jump into.
All our products are stored in Amazon Fulfilment centres to be able to deliver them to you quickly and reliably. Please allow us 1 day to process your order and 5-7 days to receive it. Some orders will arrive even as fast as 3 days but the logistics and shipping speed is not something we can control.
Pools & spas can easily become contaminated by bathers’ bodies, urine, and Mother Nature (rain, algae, leaves, etc.). If sanitizer levels are low, a variety of germs will start to grow (e.g., Pseudomonas and Legionella) that can cause skin and respiratory illnesses.
Common Recreational Water Illnesses (RWIs) include diarrheal illness, rashes, ear infections, respiratory infections, and chemical irritation of the eyes and lungs. Fortunately, these can all be prevented by regularly testing and adding the correct quantities of chemicals to your pool or spa.
If the water is not kept within the ideal ranges for pH, alkalinity, and hardness, it can start to corrode or form scales on the surfaces which it comes into contact with. This can cause the pump, the heater, the filter or the steps to become seriously damaged over time.

FAQ

How can I keep the pool strips accurate?
There are several steps you can take to make sure the strips will stay accurate. For example:
1. Keep the inside of the bottle dry - Strip pads will react if they get wet, so shake out a strip and pick it up with dry fingers. Make sure to keep wet fingers out of the bottle!
2. Tightly seal cap after removing a strip - To keep moisture out of the bottle, close the cap quickly and tightly after removing a strip.
3. Read results in natural daylight whenever possible - Artificial light can make color matching difficult when indoors.
4. Store your testing strips in a cool, dry place - Indoor is best because extreme heat and moisture can reduce the shelf-life of the strips. Once opened, use within 6 months. These may sound simple, but you’d be surprised at how big a difference following these simple steps can make. -
What's the expiry date of these strips?
Depending on when you receive the strips, the shelf-life is usually about 1 year or slightly more. However, once opened, you should use the strips within 6 months to make sure they are accurate.
-
How should I collect a proper water sample?
Use a CLEAN container (e.g. a clean cup) and dip it elbow-length deep into the water to collect your sample. This way you will get a sample that accurately shows the water chemistry of your entire pool.
-
What's the difference between "free chlorine" and "total chlorine"?
If you use chlorine as a sanitizer, free chlorine is what helps to keep your spa or hot tub safe and clean if maintained at the optimal range.
Total Chlorine is the sum of free chlorine and chloramines. As free chlorine is used up, it transforms into chloramines, which are not effective sanitizers, cause eye irritation, and create a strong “chlorine smell”. When total chlorine is higher than free chlorine, your spa or hot tub needs to be “shocked” to get rid of chloramines. -
Will these work in a saltwater pool?
Unfortunately these test strips are not suitable for saltwater pools.
-
How often should I test my pool water?
You should test your water at least 2-3 times a week, while paying close attention to the pH and chlorine/bromine levels.
-
How to store the strips?
Keep the cap on tight between uses and store at room temperature away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 6 months.
-
Are pool & spa test strips accurate?
Strips are faster and simpler than liquid testing kits, with accuracy as good or better (as there is less chance to mess something up). Nevertheless, test strips have their limitations. That's why we recommend using the strips at least 2-3 times a week and taking your water sample to your local pool store once a month to get the most thorough and accurate information.
-
Is it possible to reuse these strips?
No. One strip is meant for one test.
